What for?
Rethinking the System towards a New Corporate Leadership .
International relations, political or cultural world are no more the same. Black and white has become multipolar. Society and relationship are drastically different. One way TV is replaced by interactivity through Twitter, Social Networks or blogs which are contributing to creating a global intelligence. Economics is moving.
The current organization of the majority of our companies is the last avatar of the system put in place during the 19th century. Whether you like it or not, it was – it is – based on what Marx called « the exploitation of man by man »– on this point he was right –. The employees are considered only for their workforce. When I am in La Defense, « the » business district in Paris, when I see all the people arriving at the same time, suddendly emerging from the parkings and from the metro, dressed in the same way, all in a hurry, the image is the same as the « People coming out of the Brothers Lumiere’s Factory » one of the very first movies (1895, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EXhtq01E6JI). Blue colar, white colar, same phenomenon. The same thing was at work on an international level, colonization, people exploiting people. Our companies and our management are still based upon the avatar of Taylor’s precepts. System Management is the last add on. As they put people into boxes and neglect the links, this type of organization does not contribute to creating the conditions for innovation. How can we imagine that this system can be innovative ?
But during the last few years, we found that only the innovative companies are succeeding: Apple, Google, Facebook….By « innovative » I mean « thinking differently ». Let me give an example: all these companies were born from a desire to create links and not to make profit first.
I am not judging, I am just saying that the current system of the majority of our companies is not adapted if we want to succeed in a world which is radically different. Leadership in a complex world is not the same as in a linear world. We have a fantastic opportunity to rethink the way we organize ourselves, the way we develop and he way we lead.
The LAB: DIGITAL LEADERSHIP is a platform aimed at creating the conditions in order to reshape Leadership.

The LAB is aiming at gathering people from different horizons to contribute to defining a new type of corporate leadership adapted to the complex envrionment; DIGITAL LEADERSHIP.
The participants to our Learning Expeditions are contributing to this project and have access to the work in progress on the subject.
Participants of The Learning Expedition into the Emerging World, Corporate Leaders, DHR and HR Managers, Managers, Speakers, Designers, Philosophers, Thinkers, Artists…wishing to contribute in a different way to Rethinking the System. Experts, artists, philosophers, corporate leaders, start uppers (…) are joining the movement.

Our work is based on collective intelligence, we know this is the only way to make it happen.
